Enrollment in Spearville USD 381 is open to nonresident students at schools with space availability per Kansas House Bill 2567, which requires school districts to allow nonresidents to enroll and attend if there are open seats in the district.
The district determines space availability by reviewing current and projected enrollment, as well as classroom enrollment projections annually.
Non resident enrollment applications open on January 1 and close on June 15.
Nonresident Transfer Request Timeline
Nonresident transfer requests for the next school year are subject to the following timeline:
- January 1-June 15: Application for nonresident students available
- May 1: On or before May 1 enrollment capacity will be published
- July 1-15: Review and approval of nonresident student applications
- July 30: Nonresident applicants receive application status update
